At Fello, the people we serve are always at the center of everything we do. We know that your family and community are important parts of who you are. They help shape the services you want and need. When we support people with disabilities, we often support their families too. Fello’s Community Supports program is part of our 2Gen approach. We work with you to look at the important people in your life and build services that support what matters most to you.

Fello’s team of highly trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work with you one-on-one. Community Supports is very flexible. Our DSPs can provide from 5 to 80 hours of support each week based on your schedule to help you meet your goals. You choose how much support you need and where you want it—in your own home, your family’s home, or out in the community. 

With this service, you get help that fits your schedule. Our DSPs help you make your own choices about the life you want. They help you develop the skills and experiences you need to get there. 

There is no one way to provide Community Supports. We create a plan just for you. We focus on helping you become more independent and have a good quality of life. We support you in learning about your community and handling your responsibilities. 

Community Supports often includes:

• Building skills
• Learning how to budget
• Learning how to use public transportation  
• Grocery shopping 
• Meal planning for a healthy lifestyle 

Whatever your goal is—living on your own or being more involved in your community—our team helps you learn to speak up for yourself and make your own decisions. This helps you reach your goals at school, at home, and in your community. 

What is Fello’s 2Gen approach? 

Our 2Gen approach includes services for Community Supports and Children, Youth & Their Families. We believe the best support starts at home and includes the people who are most important to you. 

With this approach, we provide support for children and families that grow with them into adulthood. This makes the change to adult services easier. The network of resources and flexible services can stay with you throughout your life.
