Leave Your Legacy with a Planned Gift to Fello

 

When you leave a gift to Fello through your estate, you become part of our Hake Society, ensuring that you’re impacting people with disabilities and your community not just today but far into the future. The Hake Society is named after one of our most generous donors, whose legacy gift helped us significantly grow our Severn campus.

Legacy gifts have already made a significant impact, funding the growth of Severn Fello including much-needed counseling services, community hubs in Annapolis and Severn for gathering and learning, continuing education support for Direct Support Professionals, and programs like Project Learn that support and educate parents advocating for their school-aged children. 

You can help support our future growth, talent development, and resource expansion in the following ways.

Bequests

Include Fello in your will for a set amount or percentage of your estate.

Special Needs Trust

You can name Fello as a beneficiary of the trust that manages your child’s care. There is no impact on the direction or funding for your child during their lifetime, and after their passing, all or a portion of what remains can be a gift to Fello. 

IRA

You can name Fello as a remainder beneficiary.

IRA

If you’re 70 1/2 or older, you can make a gift to The Arc from your IRA. This is a tax-savvy way to support The Arc’s work in the community.

How Can I Make a Gift?

We recommend consulting with your your tax or financial professional for advice before making a legacy gift. Fello is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. 

To add Fello to your trust or IRA, you will need the following information:

  • Legal Name: Fello, Inc.
  • Tax Identification Number: 52-6047882
  • Address: 999 Corporate Blvd, Suite 300, Linthicum, MD 21090

To add a bequest to Fello in your will, simply share this paragraph with your attorney, who can modify it as needed to craft your gift according to your wishes: 

“I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to Fello, or its successors in interest, with offices at 999 Corporate Blvd., Suite 300, Linthicum, MD 21090, federal tax ID 52-6047882, the sum of $ (amount written out), exclusive of my lifetime donations, if any, to be used for Fello’s most urgent priorities as determined by its board of directors in their sole discretion.”
