Overview

Fello supports people with disabilities to live the lives they choose. Everyone has unique needs, so at Fello, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to our supports.

Fello is an action-oriented organization with a heart-driven culture that centers people, community, and opportunity in everything we do. As a Community Coach, you will be a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who reports to a Day Services Program Manager, which means you will be facilitating community-based activities and support for one to four people in Fello’s Day Program. Our Community Coaches are engaging, creative, and motivated as they support a person’s life choices and facilitate opportunities to grow and build relationships.

The ideal candidate will ensure each person’s goals are developed, implemented and met according to their Person-Centered Plan as they complete progress notes, daily logs, and individual planning activities. Building up a person’s self-esteem and self-confidence while also supporting job discovery, providing transportation, and encouraging increased community participation and skill building are all in a day’s work for a trusted Community Coach. Your high-energy demeanor, creativity, and passion for Fello’s mission will make you a successful and high valued member of our organization, and we can’t wait to meet you.

Qualification

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, though at least one year of experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.

Weekly hours vary from 28 to 35 hours a week depending on the needs of the people we support. This position requires the use of a company vehicle to travel to work sites throughout the jurisdiction assigned to and at times transport one or more people to various community locations and/or activities.
